Orhan Demircan Throws Championship brought together the Athletics Community
TRNC Athletics Federation organized the third Orhan Demircan Throws Championship to keep alive the memory of Orhan Demircan, who provided important services to the country’s athletics. The championship took place in Atatürk Sports Complex with an intense participation.
The athletes who achieved a degree in the competition won the right to participate in the Seyfi Alanya Throws Championship to be held on February 20-21 and the Nurullah Ivak Throws Cup to be held on May 4-5.
Orhan Demircan’s family also attended the championship and presented awards to the athletes at the ceremony organized after the competitions. In addition, the “Champion Angels Team” and other citizens who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake were not forgotten; a moment of silence was held in their memory.
Within the scope of the TRNC Athletics Federation’s activity calendar, the next organization will be the Hasan Ruso Races. Hasan Ruso Races, which will be held for the 14th time this year, will take place on March 6-7 in the categories of stars and juniors at Atatürk Stadium. In this organization, which is eagerly awaiting athletics enthusiasts, athletes are expected to show a great performance again.
