First Day Full of Success: TRNC MEB Swimming Championship
The Swimming Championships organised by the Ministry of National Education of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus witnessed exciting competitions on the first day. Barkan Cem Aykut and Alara Özden attracted attention with their great success.
Barkan Cem Aykut left his rivals behind with his tremendous performance in the 200 m breaststroke race and took the first place. Barkan, the pride of Northern Cyprus, completed the first day at the top with 410 points in the Men’s category with this victory.
Barkan, who competes on behalf of the Near East College, continues to write his name in golden letters in the sports world with the records he breaks. Barkan Cem Aykut, who inspires young athletes with his achievements, made his name known once again by ending the 1st day with victory.
On the other hand, in the girls’ category, Alara Özden broke a new record in School Sports. Completing the 200 m breaststroke with a time of 2:59.28, Alara came out on top with 422 points. This tremendous performance crowned the young swimmer with a great victory on the first day of the championship.
Swimming enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the next day after these breathtaking challenges. With their outstanding performances in their own categories, the athletes are signing the unforgettable moments of the TRNC MEB Swimming Championships.
